Rotations of the FK4 reference frame in right ascension and about an axis through the equinoxes are determined from an analysis of timings of lunar occultations of FK4 stars made in the years 1800-1976. These results are found to be compatible with others deduced from the dynamics of the solar system and stellar kinematics. One implication of the results is that all values of Oort's constant B of galactic rotation, that are derived from the FK4 system of proper motions, should be increased algebraically by -8 km s-1 kpc-1.
