Some recent developments in astrochemistry are reviewed. These include the detection of new molecules at millimeter wavelengths and the wealth of data from the Infrared Space Observatory (ISO) on gas-phase and solid-state species. The richness of the ISO data is illustrated by the full spectral scan of Orion IRc2. Many H _2 O lines have been detected and provide constraints on the physical and chemical conditions in star-forming regions. High-angular resolution observations of star-forming regions and circumstellar disks using millimeter interferometers are discussed.
