The B image of the region of supernova SN 1961v carried out with the 6-meter telescope on 1984 October 25/26 is presented. It is shown that the supernova bursted near the center of an OB association with the size of about 200 pc and magnitude of B = 21m.4. This OB association affects essentially the latest observations of the supernova in 1968 and 1970. A comparison of the B image with the [O III] and Hα + [N II] images and the radio contour map at 20 cm indicates that the OB association is located within a giant H II region. The star on 1954 December 21/22 prior to the supernova outburst had the magnitude of B = 18m.2 and the color index B-V = 0m.6.
