In this paper, descriptions are given for 18 aurora displays at various dates in low latitudes at the Mediterranean. These collections have been taken from different books of Islamic history, which cover a period of 9th 16th century. Their frequency indicates the case of intense geomagnetic storms during early solar activities, which is of particular interest for solar-terrestrial physics.
