Precise photometric results of a partial solar eclipse are examined, and they yield significant conclusions about the polarization of the solar corona. Superposition of the intensifications of the white and monochromatic coronas shows that the maxima of the former envelop the minima of the latter, and that the maxima of the latter envelop the minima of the former. An analysis of various physical parameters demonstrates that the temperature of the coronal medium varies rapidly from one point to another.
