The MSSL X-ray telescopes on OAO Copernicus have detected 2.5-7.5 keV
X-rays from the direction of the N galaxy 3C 390.3. Upper limits are
placed on the flux in the 0.6-3.1 keV range from 3C 390.3 itself. The
detected signal is at least a factor of 4 greater than that expected
from the nearby X-ray source 3U 1825 + 81.
