Rocket X-ray data on U Geminorum obtained at phase 0.062 during a quiescent period are shown to yield an upper limit of 7 times 10 to 31 erg/sec for the X-ray luminosity in the 150 to 280 eV band. This limit is compared with the recent reported X-ray observation of SS Cygni during an active period and the prediction of Warner's model for U Gem. It is suggested, in agreement with Berkhuijsen, that a soft X-ray feature at l about 200 deg and b about +20 deg arises from a radio spur at that location.
