We observed comet 10P/Tempel 2 when it was inactive on Nov. 30 & Dec 1, 2000, January 24-25, 2001, and March 29 - April 1, 2004 at the KPNO 2.1m telescope in broadband R to determine its rotation period and confirm or refute the period change found by Mueller & Ferrin (1996) between apparitions 1988 and 1994. There are 3 possible rotation periods compatible with both the 2000 and 2001 data. These 3 periods are the same within the errors as those determined for the 1994 apparition by Mueller & Ferrin
(1996) but are incompatible with the period determined for the 1988 apparition by Sekanina (1991). We will compare the 2000/2001
data with the 2004 data, calculate model lightcurves which incorporate geometry changes to determine if a change in period has happened between 2000/20001 and 2004.
The results will be presented at the meeting.
