73P/Schwassmann-Wachmann 3 is a Jupiter-family comet which showed multiple fragmentations at its three last passages. The 2006 passage was peculiarly spectacular due to the close approach to Earth of the comet (0.08 AU in mid-May). We monitored the outgassing of the two main components (B and C) of the comet using radio spectroscopy. The 18-cm lines of OH were monitored with the Nançay radio telescope from Mars to July. Water was observed through its 557 GHz line in May with the Odin satellite. Millimetric lines of HCN were observed in May with the IRAM 30-m telescope, the CSO 10-m telescope and the new APEX 12-m telescope.
We will present an inter-comparison of the gas production rates of these two components derived from these different means of observation. We will also try to relate these evolutions with the outbursts and fragmentation events observed in the visible.
