Four RR Lyrae stars have been observed over the complete cycle in the uvby H-beta filter system with the ESO 1-meter telescope. After correction for reddening and blanketing the phase-dependent parameters effective temperature and gravity have been derived, and from these the equilibrium properties. The analysis uses theoretical colors for static model atmospheres. Comparison with older work by Oke et al. (1962) based on spectrum scans with the 200-inch telescope shows similar internal accuracies and satisfactory overall agreement. The spread in periods among the four stars is mainly due to differing effective temperatures.
