Narrow band polarimetric images have been obtained of several young stellar objects (YSOs). The polarization of the H_2 emission of several YSOs has been measured, together with the polarization of the adjacent continuum. The substraction of the polarized continuum from the polarized H_2 emission allows us to determine the geometrical location of the shock-excited molecular gas. The morphologies of these star formation regions are revealed through polarimetry: emission lines - continuum at near-infrared wavelengths.
