Use SMOV3a Bright Earth Avoidance time period for science exposures with the STIS CCD. Various kinds of targets are observed: {1} Nearby late-type irregular galaxies {deep 50CCD & F28X50LP images}, reaching 1 mag beyond the RGB peak magnitude. {2} Interacting galaxies {50CCD & F28X50LP images, typically reaching the turn-over absolute magnitude of globular cluster systems}. {3} Deep slitless G750L spectroscopy of an empty, high Galactic latitude field. {4} The region around 2 powerful Radio Galaxies: One at z 1.06 and one at z 1.25, to test the suggested powerful radio galaxy-cluster connection at medium redshift. The proprietary period of the data will only last until after the January 2000 meeting of the American Astronomical Society, when the first post-SM3a HST images will be released to the public.
