This paper presents uvby light curves for the Algol-type binary system AB Cas, in which the primary component is a delta Sct-type pulsating star. Additional Crawford H_β data were also obtained. A detailed photometric analysis based on these observations is presented for both binarity and pulsation. The Wilson-Devinney code was used as the most appropriate for modelling the binary light curve whereas the pulsation of the primary component is analysed using the Fourier Transform and classical O-C methods. The pulsation analysis suggests the hotter component as monoperiodic with a period P_p=0.(d) 05828741 oscillating in the fundamental radial mode. It is also shown that binarity, in this case, has no special effect on the pulsation.
