High dispersion electronographic spectrograms were used to analyze three stars in the M67 field: F 164, F 170, and F 244. Observations were carried out at the Observatoire de Haute-Provence, using the echelle spectrograph installed at the coude focus of the 1.52 m telescope. A re-analysis of Griffin data on two giants (IV-202 and T 626) in the M67 field was also performed. Results showed that the mean iron abundance (Fe/H) of four of the stars in M67 is minus 0.1 plus or minus 0.1 and is solar in nature. The 'red-straggler' F 244 star does not belong to the M67 cluster, since it is a field metal-rich subgiant. The mean mass of the four cluster stars studied is 4 plus or minus 2 solar masses, implying that M67 cannot be older than 2-3 billion years.
