The recent GLIMPSE mid-infrared imaging survey of the inner Galactic plane has revealed that dust bubbles pervade the Galactic disk. Here I summarize the projected spatial distribution of bubbles and their morphological properties (their size, shell thickness, and eccentricity distributions). The majority of the bubbles appear to be formed by young O and B stars. Analysis of their emission properties as a function of wavelength shows quite clearly that PAHs are destroyed inside the dust bubbles excited by O stars. However, dust is clearly observed to exist within the bubbles.
