The neon abundance in WR stars provides one of the most sensitive tests
of massive star evolution theory being predicted to undergo enhancements
of ×10 (WC phase) up to ×100 (WO phase). Results from ISO
are summarized and our new IR programme with the Spitzer satellite is
outlined.
