De Sitter Universe: Cosmological Models
Scientific paper
The selection principle for the solutions of the Einstein equations suggested earlier implies the existence of space (gik ≠ 0) only in the presence of matter (Tik ≠ 0). This selection principle (principle of space existence, in the Markov terminology) implies, in the general case, the absence of the cosmological solution with the de Sitter metric. On the other hand, the de Sitter metric is necessary for describing both inflation and deflation periods of the Universe. It is shown that the de Sitter metric is also allowed by the selection principle under discussion if the metric experiences the evolution into the Friedmann metric.
