We analyzed the 9-day mean series of the daily international sunspot nirber in the period 1932-1982 and found that it is a complex dynamic system which should be described by at least seven independent variables, that its correlation dimension is 6.3 +/- 0.1, that the 2-order Renyi entropy and the maximum Lyapunov exponent are 0.37+/-0.02and0.34+/-0.01 bit/yr, respectively. The corresponding error doubling times are 2.7+/-0.2 and 2.9+/-0.1 yr.
