The observed energy distribution for A and F stars is compared with theoretical model atmospheres of Kurucz in the 6000-10,800 A range. A and F stars of the IV and V luminosity classes are shown to have IR excesses of about 5-6 percent in the 8000-10,800 A region. IR excesses of A and F giants and rapidly rotating stars with v sin i greater than 300 km/s are 9-11 percent.
