Infrared observations of Upsilon Sagitarii are presented together with a spectral classification of the object in different wavelength regions. It is shown that the spectral features in all ranges can be explained by a combination of an A-type supergiant and of a B-type object. A discussion of the behavior of elements in the infrared region shows that strong oxygen lines are present. This eliminates one of the difficulties found when trying to explain the evolutionary status of the object.
