Photometric and spectroscopic data are presented for BD - 6 deg 855, a high-proper motion, high-radial velocity G dwarf. Its kinematics are extreme: U of about +370, V of about -195, and W of about +80 km/sec. An abundance analysis reveals that its metallicity is not very low, only Fe/H = 0.70, 0.7 dex more metal-rich than any outer halo stellar system or comparable-velocity star. Its Na/Fe abundance ratio suggests it is a true halo star rather than a disk star, although its Si/Fe ratio may be anomalous. The outer Galactic halo is inferred to contain stars with a wide range in abundances, as envisioned in the fragmentary and prolonged halo formation model of Searle and Zinn (1978).
