Barber (1982) has proposed an adaptation of general relativity which includes continuous creation and lies within observational limits; in the present work, a power law between the expansion factor of the universe and the scalar field of this self-creation is assumed, by means of which the cosmological equations reduce to quadratures. Several exact solutions are thereby obtained, including linearly expanding and inflationary universes with a barotropic equation of state.
