New deeper color magnitude diagrams are presented for five globular clusters in Fornax and for two regions of the field. The similarities and differences that exist among the cluster and between the clusters and the field are investigated. The diagrams reach the horizontal branch and hence provide information on the horizontal branch morphologies of the clusters and the field. The slopes and widths of the giant branches are better defined in these diagrams than in previous ones and so provide better measurements of the mean metallicities and metallicity dispersions. Photometry reveals that some stars vary substantially in magnitude and that the majority of these suspected variables occupy the same region of the diagram as the RR Lyrae variables found in globular clusters.
