The peculiar emission line object SS 433 has variable radio emission and an angular size of less than 0.1 arcsec at centimetric wavelengths. The observations reported here show that the object at long radio wavelengths consists of this compact core and also a jet approximately 1 arcsec long aligned in the same position angle as the extended structure in the associated supernova remnant W 50. Both components vary in flux density.
