The UBV linear polarization of the Be star Gamma Cas was monitored on four nights in order to detect possible short-period changes in polarization. Variations of 0.10% to 0.15% in the degree of broadband linear polarization and changes of about 3 deg in polarization position angle over intervals of less than 3.5 hr are found. It is concluded that the observed variations in the degree and position angle of polarization can be understood as being due to inhomogeneities and instabilities in a rotating equatorial disk within a few stellar radii of the star.
