We investigate the concept of the Habitable Zone around host stars with different spectral type. This builds on work by Kasting et al 1993 and adds realistic star spectra into the calculations. The effect the size of the planet has on the limits of the Habitable Zone is also investigated and set in context with the first Super Earths detected. We compare the spectral fingerprints of the planets and show what conclusions can be drawn from their spectra.
