We study the nucleus of nearby S0 galaxy NGC 404 using a combination of NIR IFU spectroscopy, optical spectroscopy, and HST imaging to determine its morphology, kinematics, and stellar populations. The stellar structure has three components, a bulge, a nuclear star cluster, and a central excess, all with distinct stellar populations and kinematics. The nuclear star cluster has a dominant 1 Gyr old stellar population, perhaps the result of a recent merger. We also look at this galaxy in the context of being a LINER, and examine possible excitation scenarios. Using dynamical models we have measured the mass of the nuclear star cluster and constrained the black hole mass to be significantly below 106 solar masses.
