A fast photometry system was used at the 3.9 m Anglo-Australian Telescope to search for a pulsar in SN 1987A on two nights of excellent seeing in 1994 December. No pulsations were found in the period range 0.2 ms to 10 s, with a limit on the pulsed magnitude of about 24.6 in V. This is about 1 mag fainter than the Crab pulsar would be if it were located in the Large Magellanic Cloud.
