We present a preliminary analysis of the UV variability of quasars observed with the NASA GALEX satellite that have been previously identified in the Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS). Firstly, we have established a rigorous statistical metric for determining the level of variability in the GALEX UV magnitudes associated with each observational visit by the satellite. We then explore relationships between this UV variation and other observational parameters such as redshift, intrinsic luminosity, black-hole mass and radio loudness.
