We present empirical results on type Ia supernova delay times from the GOODS/HST-SN surveys, based on volumetric rates to z 1.8. From the three-year sample of 56 SNe Ia, we use a Markov chain Monte Carlo to determine the best-fit unimodal delay-time distribution function. The tests reveal a SN Ia delay-time distribution that is tightly confined to 3-4 Gyrs, and is strongly motivated by the decline in the SN Ia rate at z > 1.2. We discuss this conclusion relative to results from lower redshift supernova studies that suggest that most delay times are less than 1 Gyr.
