As an introduction to the understanding of Kepler data products, we have prepared the Kepler Instrument and Data Analysis Handbooks, and make them available through STScI's MAST and Kepler's GO web sites to all who are interested in planning, publishing, or reviewing Kepler observations. The Kepler Mission is designed to detect transits of Earth-size planets orbiting in the "habitable zone” of 9Kepler was selected as the 10th mission of the Discovery Program. Funding for this mission is provided by NASA, Science Mission Directorate.
