Mercury: Observations
Scientific paper
Mercury was observed on five out of six apparitions during 2001. Nearly every observation showed some albedo features on the disk. With CCD and the great variety of telescope accessories and the help of the Mariner 10 imagery, it is possible we may soon have some basic understanding of what the visual observer is able to distinguish on the surface of the planet.
