The Planck mission will create high quality maps of polarized dust emission within a few degrees of the galactic plane. These maps will have an angular resolution of 5 arcminutes at a frequency of 353 GHz. We have created a model of polarized emission from dust grains aligned by the galactic magnetic field for comparison with Planck observations. Our model incorporates constant and random components for the magnetic field geometry. We present a statistical analysis of synthetic observations derived from these models in order to investigate 1) the overall geometry of the magnetic field throughout the entire disk--including major warps in the field, 2) the global magnitude of the random component and the large scale de-correlation length of this component, 3) the power spectra of the fractional polarization and position angle for comparison with observations, and 4) other characteristics.
