We have used the VLA to map four galaxies from the Scuba Local Universe Galaxy Survey - IC 1127, NGC 2623, PGC 030202 and UGC 07115 - in C, X, K and Q bands. The VLA images of these sources at the four frequencies will be presented.
The galaxies were chosen from a sample observed at Arecibo in S, C and X bands which appear, from that survey, to have a significant synchrotron contribution to their 850 micron flux. These observations will allow us to make a better estimate of the effect of synchrotron and free-free emission on the measured sub-mm fluxes and thus on the dust masses and temperatures of these galaxies.
The National Radio Astronomy Observatory is a facility of the National Science Foundation operated under cooperative agreement by Associated Universities, Inc. The Arecibo Observatory is part of the National Astronomy and Ionosphere Center, which is operated by Cornell University under a cooperative agreement with the National Science Foundation.
