We present VLBI and single-dish radio observations of the circumnuclear water vapor maser in the Seyfert 2 galaxy Mrk 1419. The distribution of masers is consistent with emission from an edge-on disk about 0.5 pc in diameter. Maser spots near the systemic velocity of the galaxy come from the near side of the disk, whereas red- and blue-shifted lines come from points in the disk tangent to the line of sight. From the Keplerian rotation curve revealed by the satellite lines, we can determine the mass of the central object, about 8 million solar masses. Moreover, single-dish monitoring observations show the systemic water lines 'drift' redward with time owing to the centripetal acceleration of the clouds on the near side of the disk as they rotate in front of the black hole. From our observations we can measure a geometric distance to this galaxy. This study has been carried out as part of the Megamaser Cosmology Project (MCP), and is the second distance measured as part of this project, after UGC 3789. The ultimate goal of the MCP is to measure the Hubble Constant (Ho) to improve the extragalactic distance scale and constrain the nature of dark energy.
