Based on both photometric and spectroscopic data analysis, we conclude that in the roAp star γ Equ excited frequencies are stable on the time scale of several years. All observed highest peak frequencies are close to the frequency pair that was first resolved by the Canadian mini- satellite MOST. Observed amplitude modulation in γ Equ and, possibly, in some other slowly rotating roAp stars can be explained by the existence of such closely spaced frequencies.
