We study the Spitzer/IRAC mid-infrared (rest-frame optical) fluxes of new WFC3/IR-detected z 7 z850-dropout galaxies and z 8 Y105-dropout galaxies. None of the galaxies are detected to [3.6] 26.9 AB mag (2 sigma), but a stacking analysis reveals a robust average detection at [3.6] for the z850-dropouts with no detection for the Y105-dropouts. We construct average broadband SEDs using the stacked ACS, WFC3, and IRAC fluxes and fit stellar population synthesis models to derive mean redshifts, stellar masses, and ages. The most remarkable finding is that the low-luminosity z 7 galaxies are moderately red and require high best-fit ages and appreciable M/L. The implication is that sub-L* galaxies contribute significantly to the stellar mass density and under favorable conditions could have provided enough photons for sustained reionization at 7 < z <10. We'll discuss other implications including the evolution of the stellar mass density at z>7 and future prospects of obtaining larger samples.
