The results of multicolor observations of two novae -- DK Lac and V Per -- are presented. DK Lac is a non-eclipsing system which shows the "high" and "low" states. We observed a nova-like depression of the brightness for DK Lac in 2003. V Per belongs to the eclipsing cataclysmic variables, its orbital period is in the ``period gap'' between 2 and 3 hours. The orbital light curves of V Per show variability, indicating ongoing mass transfer, in spite of theoretical arguments for the cessation of mass transfer in the ``period gap''. Some information about stars in ''the period gap'' is given.
