Weak lensing allows to "see" the dark side of our Universe, dark matter and dark energy, which constitutes most of its total energy today. Measuring lensing distortion effects on images of distant galaxies, we can explore the nature of these dark components. In this article the author reviews the gravitational lensing phenomena and discuss the future prospects.
