Using Spitzer-IRS a wealth of information on the dust composition of stars in the Magellanic Clouds has been revealed. Observations from the SAGE-Spec and SMC-Spec as well as numerous archival programs have charted the mineralogy in a range of post-main-sequence stars, as well as young stellar objects. Due to the large number of available observations, the dust condensation sequence is well mapped in both galaxies, and can be compared with objects in the higher metallicity environment of the Milky Way. I will review our current understanding of the dust properties as a tracer of stellar evolution in the Magellanic Clouds.
