Accreting white dwarfs are possible progenitors of Type Ia supernovae and of accretion-induced collapse. Ordinary binary evolution produces such systems, which can sometimes be observed as supersoft X-ray sources. Recent observations of supersoft sources in globular clusters highlight the possible role stellar interactions can play in enhancing the numbers of these systems in dense environments. In this talk I report on calculations of mass gain by white dwarfs in binaries. These calculations provide intriguing links between phenomena as diverse as ultraluminous X-ray sources in star-forming regions, LMXBs in elliptical galaxies, both "prompt" and "delayed" Type Ia supernovae, and recycled pulsars in globular clusters.
