To address the role of centrally-located active galaxies on the heating of intragroup gas and on the regulation of cooling cores, we have undertaken low-frequency radio observations of a sample of 18 elliptical-dominated groups selected for the availability of high quality X-ray data from Chandra or XMM and for structure indicative of AGN/hot gas interaction in X-rays and/or radio. Most targets have now been observed with the GMRT at a subset of the desired frequencies, yielding multiple detections of extended and complex radio structures, most with clear relations to the X-ray structures. Radio observations at multiple (especially low) frequencies allow the production of spectral index maps and the derivation of radiative ages, and can reveal the radio counterparts to X-ray "ghost" cavities that contain old/low-energy electron populations. We are combining radio and X-ray data to establish the properties of the central radio sources over a broad frequency range, examine the effects of the central AGN at various phases of activity, and quantify the geometry, timescales, and physical mechanisms of the energy injection.
