We report on the analysis of archival and follow-up observations of the black hole in a globular cluster recently discovered by our group. This source in the nearby elliptical galaxy NGC 4472 reveals a particularly interesting optical spectrum with strong, broad, [O III] emission. We investigate the likely physical mechanisms for this emission and the implications on the properties of the black hole source. X-ray observations of the source with ROSAT, Chandra, XMM, and Swift at various points over the last decade provide further insights into the nature of the black hole.
