In its first year, Nova Cygni 1992 has set remarkable astrophysical records. It is the first nova to be observed across the entire electromagnetic spectrum and is the most thoroughly documented event in the history of nova studies. The brightest nova in recent years, Nova Cygni 1992 peaked at a magnitude of 4.3. The topics covered include the following: IUE spectra of Nova Cygni 1992, what causes a nova, Nova Herculis 1934, neon in Nova Cygni 1992, Nova Cygni ejecta expansion, light curves of Nova Cygni 1992, and the observational equipment used to observe the nova as well as equipment to be used in future observations.
