Scientific paper

XMM-Newton slew data allow us to establish the deepest, complete, hard (2-10keV) X-ray selected, flux limited sample of X-ray sources which is dominated by AGN for high latitudes. The proposed follow-up observations of slew sources offer an unique opportunity to establish an overview of the spectral distribution of a complete hard X-ray selected sample of (nearby) AGNs and especially will allow to search for rare object classes and to determine the fraction of intrinsically absorbed sources.
