In a large joined effort of major radio and X-ray facilities, we are monitoring the active galaxy NGC1052 with X-ray spectral observations, radio flux-density and parsec-scale VLBI imaging the jet-system. Our RXTE monitoring reveals high-amplitude X-ray variability, which seems to correlate with epochs of jet- production, presumably indicative of changes in the energy flow into the jet. We propose to perform two RXTE-triggered 50ksec observations of NGC1052 to measure the spectral composition in two different accretion states and in relation to the jet-production activity. We will trace the medium-to-hard X-ray evolution of the source between the two XMM-Newton pointings with a series of monthly 10ksec Swift/ XRT observations, as well as with the Swift/BAT monitor.
