The behaviour of E-region of ionosphere during solid-fuel rocket launches is studied taking into account the inelastic scattering of solar light on the products of solid-fuel combustion. Considered chemical processes include the reactions of the products of combustion and the reactions forming an ionization balance in natural conditions. Special attention is paid to peculiarities of inelastic electron-molecule collisions. The role of dissociative attachment and vibrational excitation in the interaction of thermal ionospheric electrons with HCl, H2, H2O etc. molecules is discussed. It is pointed out on the sufficient influence of dissociative attachment processes on chemical composition of E-region of ionosphere after solid-fuel rocket launches. The concentrations of 29 minor neutral constituents and 26 positive ions are calculated in the model. About 150 chemical reactions have been taken into account in the calculations. Results of our model calculations show that input of high temperature near the rocket engine plume causes sufficient variation of electron density and an increasing of negative ion Cl- concentrations because of dissociative attachment processes in E-region of the ionosphere during rocket disturbances.
