Approximately one quarter of the forbidden coronal lines observed in the visual and EUV regions of the solar spectrum are still unidentified. Evidence is presented showing that some of these unidentified lines originate from Fe X and Fe XI. Population densities of metastable levels in excited configurations of these ions are determined, and emissivities are calculated for transitions from these levels. Based on examination of emissivity ratios, it is proposed that the forbidden coronal lines observed at 4312, 3454, 1918.27, 1603.31, and 1428.76 be attributed to Fe X and that the lines at 5539, 4566, and 264 A be attributed to Fe XI.
