As part of a long-term calibration program for the Spitzer Space Telescope Multiband Imaging Photometer (MIPS), we have studied a sample of over 40 asteroids in the mid- and far-IR. Based on detector properties, we have selected sources with Standard Thermal Model (STM) flux predictions in the range 0.5 - 18 Jy at 70 um. The observations, which are publicly available through the Spitzer Archive, span the lifetime of the mission to date and provide photometric snapshots for the majority of selected asteroids, as well as mid-IR light curves for a few, selected bodies. Our results indicate that the STM provides reasonable thermal flux predictions, particularly for asteroids with flat light curves and well-defined albedos.
