The polarimetric and photometric observations of the BL Lacertae object B2 1418 + 54 carried out between March and September 1979 are discussed. Data from the observations are presented in tabular form. The object in question is found to possess all the properties of BL Lacertae objects. It is also found that the polarization parameters are rapidly variable, which is probably in correlation with the variability in brightness.
